I have dented the top tube on my boardman cx team. Halfords have quoted £500 for a replacement frame which is £300 more than I want to pay. Can anyone recommend a decent disc cx frame for £200-£300? I have been looking at the pompentine from on one but its quite heavy.

Why don’t you buy the cheapo CX comp and flog all the left overs?

Been very pleasantly surprised with my Uncle John-not the lightest, but great to ride, handles really well, even has disc & canto mounts

How bad is the dent? Just keep riding it!

Re-Cycle in Colchester had some boardman frames in last week including the CX. Brand new which they were selling at a very good price.

    Some info here

The dent is on the top of the top tube about 25cm from the stem. Its approx. 20mm x 20mm but not deep. Mechanic in halfords reckons it will be ok but I am not that confident.
