Evening STWers! I’m taking a few guys from work biking for a few days next week. All keen bikers, going to Afan for a couple of days and then either Cwmcarn or FoD. Which would you choose out of the two for fun singletrack stuff, tech climbs and fun descents?

Loads of different graded trails at FOD. How about going a bit further to Brechfa?

Cwmcarn if you want an XC trail or uplift day.
The sign marked XC trail at FOD isn’t remotely tech, but it is quite good fun for a relatively small climb.

For tech climbs and fun descents cwm carn is hard to beat. FoD is good but I think cwm carn fits better for what you want.

There’s so much more to do in the FoD and the single track is dying out nicely
