    I’m hoping to ride at Cwmcarn tomorrow. Just how awful would conditions be on Caffall? I would normally use my 26″ FS but having just rebuilt the rear suspension I’m wondering if I might not use a HT. Not exactly a trail ripper I just want to beast myself with some hard climbing. I also can’t remember how rocky/bumpy it is.

    A hardtail is the best bike for Cafall IMHO. It’s not particularly rocky or challenging.

    Be fine on HT. A few puddles and greasy bits under trees but will ride better than most places at the moment
