    Along with the Pugsley: surely the Karate Monkey, the original modern day 29er has to be considered?

    Nothing will be considered a classic, they’ll just be old bikes*.
    * Unless you’re a retrobike fanboi.

    The way things keep changing, last weeks bikes are already old hat.
    I don’t own any new bikes…

    Surely a classic has to be one that changed the game

    Does it? Could equally be one that hits a bit of a sweet spot amongst it’s contemporaries, gains a strong following and reputation. Something that ends up being an obvious choice within a genre. Like a Soul. Current bikes, something like a Stanton Slackline maybe.

    Game changers are often flawed.

    No argument with the classic bit, but it’s hardly current!

    Out of the current DH crop I’d go with the Demo, even though I’ve not ridden one.

    Supposed to be one of the very best bikes and I’ve come round to the asymetric frame design.
