Hopefully a bit of publicity is allowed on this forum for a club-organised event! Organised by Stirling Bike Club, COTC returns on March 22nd for its 2nd year, hosted in the beautiful grounds of the University of Stirling. Last year was a massive success with 300+ entrants and 2000+ spectators watching the races during the day, making it one of the largest races of the year in Scotland!

This year we are hoping to make it even bigger, and have already a stacked field in all the races (we can’t release start lists yet as entry hasn’t closed, for comparisons sake, last year’s winners were Katie Archibald and James McCallum though).

The course itself is brilliant and very spectator friendly, with lovely walks around the entire circuit, plus free parking and coffee shops aplenty! We’ll yet again have DJing and commentary, plus this year we’ve managed to secure the British Cycling podium/stage/gantry thingy (normally only seen in Scotland for british national champ events!)

Racing starts at 8.30 for the youth categories, with 4th cats at 10.45, women at 12.50, and Elite at 14.00.

So come down with your cowbell and spectate…it should be brilliant for a few hours on an otherwise dull Sunday! Or if you are feeling brave, there’s still time to enter yourself (except the full 4th cat races!) or your kids(!) just follow the link on the website.
