Looking to lighten my wheelset as the slower acceleration is my only downside to 29ers. The crests seem to be about the lightest around but are they reliable. I don’t want to be re-truing them all the time. My riding is general xc stuff and marathon type events. My current rim are older style stans arch, so would be a good place to lose some weight.

I’ve got some on my Swift and so far they have not needed to be trued but they have only been built up since about November last year. Probably done around 10 rides. They do seem to get up to speed fast compared to the bonty mustangs on a GF Rig i’ve got. I’m running a std Maxxis crossmark on the rear with just yellow tape and it was an absolute pig to get on the rim so i reccon some UST tyres wouldn’t go on at all
