    Hi all
I’ve just done a dust wiper service on my forks and float shock all went well but after re mounting the rear shock there is a creek coming from the frame when padaling
I’ve changed nothing the only thing I did was put a bit of grease on the shock mounting bolts (seemed like the right thing to do) has this caused the creek ?
Any advice welcome no creeks before and only done shock
Do we think I should take shock off and remove all grease off the mounting hardware then remount ?

Sounds like something isn’t tight anymore. Take it all off, clean the grease off, reassemble it so that any parts that get clamped are grease free. Line the (empty) bolt holes up. Then really grease the bolts (including threads and under the heads – make sure you cleaned any crap out from under any washers too), fit them and do them up tight.

That means the parts that are clamping are clean and dry (max friction) and the bolt is greased (low friction) so hopefully most of the tightening effort ends up clamping the plates like it should.

If that doesn’t fix it, start looking for cracks! 😯
