I’m interested in creating a Twitter based projector wall at an office reception.

The idea would be that as people arrived in reception the projector would be there and projecting relevant tweets on the wall based on a couple of hashtags or following.

So basically an automatically generating newsfeed. If there was not much new content it would loop through what it had.

I’m no IT expert but advice on feasibility of this appreciated.

Easily achievable, you could just use an RSS reader embedded in to a simple web page to display it.

Then just use something like a raspberry pi running and connected to projector or large screen to run it.

Some basic CMS systems will include this functionality out of the box so could be easier to setup.

I’d be very wary of displaying any unvetted twitter content.

The opportunities for mischief are well known.
