what’s your favourite??

Looking forward to a simple fresh cream finger with a quick brew before hitting the trails tonight.

Favourite for me has to be either a Bavarian or Custards slice, I’m also quite partial to a big puffed up coffee choux bun or eclair.

Haven’t seen one in a while but a Cream, Apple and blackcurrent turnover.

I like those cream slice things with thin layers of pastry & icing on top. When you bite into them, the pastry squeezes the cream out & it goes everywhere.

Profiteroles and eclairs are good but I remember a delight from my youth when we used to visit Germany. A Windbeutel. It was basically a thin sliver of puff pastry with a massive dome of whipped cream on top. Mmm.

I know someone who works in the bakery. He can make a thousand scones no problem but ask him to make just six and he’s completely flummoxed!

Scones with strawberry jam and lashings of clotted cream. I may be biased though.

Coffee choux buns from the bakery in Brecon are a fairly common occurrence.

Ordered a Cream tea from the Black Country museum and it came with squirty cream 👿
