I’ve developed a creak on my 2010 Heckler. Can’t quite put my finger on where it’s coming from but I was suspecting the rear wheel but not convinced. Rear wheel bearings were replaced with KaTec ones last summer and no sign of play; Hope BB might also be the culprit but no play in it either which I guess leaves the frame pivot bearings which whilst having never been replaced, you guessed it, show no sign of play. I’ve tightened the seat rails, and clamp and lightly greased the post and I don’t think it’s the pedals either. Any tips? I thought about maybe changing the bearings in the Hope BB with some KaTec ones. I’ve also got bearings and the appropriate tool for the frame pivot. Time to bite the bullet and do the job? Any ideas/advice?
