I know this is the wrong forum and dark side stuff but………….

Our bike club chairman has a new rinky dink Carbon Eddy Merx road frame. I'm not a road man but I have to admit it is the business and it rides real well. The first few rides were ok but after a very few weeks it has developed a creak when you apply force to the cranks. We have swapped the cranks out along with everything else and we are left with the conclusion that it is the frame.

Anyone heard of anything similar on other Carbon Merx frames?

My guess is the bottom headset race, especially if the bike has been ridden in the rain or washed a lot.

Ta for that. It turned out that we all tried everything to trace the problem barrrrrrrrrrrrrrr checking how tight he did up his QR. Object lesson there…………… basics are important.
