My bike’s started creaking something rotten. It doesn’t creak if I don’t pedal even if I’m standing on the pedals going downhill. It does creak if I pedal using anything but minimal force. I’ve changed pedals (and cleaned an lubed the pedal threads) and it still creaks as much. It creaks the same in either chainring. I’ve cleaned, lubed and refitted the XT cranks. The BB bearings feel smooth as a smooth thing.

Bike’s a 2012 Camber 29 Carbon Comp with a Hope PF41 bottom bracket. Will it die? Any ideas what to try next?

Grease pedal threads, Headset, seat rails, seat post, wheel QR

I’ve got the same, greased up the bottom bracket a little and it’s less creaky but still there so at least I’ve narrowed it down.

I suspect yours is the same because you describe it occurring under load just like mine.

It’s to do with the cups moving in the frame, occurs overtime apparently so off to bikeshop to refit/replace and get them to loctite it up.
