    Has it always done it or just started doing it? If it's just started, I'd take it apart, give it a really good clean, check for cracks and start over. I'd also use a torque wrench or a torqkey to reduce the chance of it happening again. If it still does it, try some copper slip or carbon assembly paste. I know they're not carbon but all you're trying to do then is fill really tiny gaps.

    Yeah…it's pretty much aslways done it since I swithed from alu to steel bars…

    I did some internet research following my intial post and found that grease is the most common solution.

    I've never had a mismatched material combo in this area of a bike before, so have never greased it/pasted it. So that seemed a counter-intuitive thing to do…

    will strip it and give it a bash.
