I had the misfortune to watch Alexander last night.
Since when was Alex the Great an Irishman??? For goodness sake.
So what's the worse films out there...

My movie hell is this...
hmm loads of naff films I can't remember that I've watched through anyway, I think the only film I've ever switched off is shoot 'em up, think I managed 10minutes.
is that a mike leigh film camo?
hmm, worse than Aexander? Tricky.
Catwoman? At least it had a scantily clad Halle Berry, which can't be said for the first attempt at Lord Of The Rings
eh Shoot 'Em Up? a plotless marvel that was, showing just what a waste of effort most movie storylines are.
Camo16, i'm glad i have no clue what that still is from.
Kes. What a crock.
Attack the Block. Absolutely terrible.
Hobo With a Shotgun......
Bruno. I thought Borat was hilarious but Bruno was one of those rare films that I gave up on half way through.
Try "The Losers", its not just a clever title... its a low budget version of "The Expendables" without the acting talent and complex storyline...
i also thought "Tron Legacy" was a waste of 2hrs of my life. Soundtrack and visuals were awesome but even after watching the whole thing the story still doesn't make sense...
oh yeah I forgot borat, I unfortunately sat all through that with the mrs, I loathe that film. Also reminded me I switched talladega nights off when SBC turned up.
I actually really like Shoot 'Em Up AND Attack the Block.
Hostel. That's rubbish. And Saw. Any torture porn nonsense, in fact. RUBBISH.
*edit* The Expendables better than The Losers? Have you even SEEN either of them?
The first couple of Police Academy were ok, but after the 2nd they should have stopped...
I couldn't get over how poor Transformers 2 was. Or rather, I couldn't get over how poor it was even given my very low expectations.
I watched Due Date the other night - it was crap.
"Daredevil" with Ben Affleck. Possibly the worst suprhero movie of all time, he comprehensively fails to achieve any of the standard hero objectives ie save the girl (or anyone if i recall correctly), stop the bad guy (in fact i have a vague recollection that he stops the girl and saves the bad guy...), provide any sort of entertaining banter (or entertainment for that matter). I know he's blind but come on...
I would agree with Transformers 2. And almost 3, I nearly gave up but it picked up after the first hour and a half or so.
Snake Eyes.
Snake Shit more like.
Camo16, i'm glad i have no clue what that still is from.
That's the best way.
Worst 142 minutes of my life, that one.
And - in case anyone's thinking of watching this movie on a special occasion - don't. It will destroy you.
The new Conan.
What really annoyed me was that he kept plunging his sword into the ground everytime he stopped. Not gonna do it any good.
Also there was a bit were their boat was attacked by people creeping aboard at night. After fighting them off there was a lot of cheering but I thought they needed to have a serious conversation about what 'sentry duty' means.
Ron Perlman shouldn't have been killed off so early either.
quite a few of the big special effects summer blockbuster type films.... top tip to directors - dont keep 45minutes of extra footage in the film just because you've already paid for the special effects (transformers, avatar, titanic etc etc)
Worst films I've ever seen are
1. Highlander
2. Con-air
I'm quite pleased that a lot of people rave about these 2 utterly crap films.
Watched the "oscar" potential Tinker,Tailor...the other day, what a waste of 2hrs, asbsolute garbage.
Nothing happened after the first 2 mins !!
Cowboys vs Aliens
Not sure how they managed it, but it was horrendously boring.
The Wedding Singer. Something about Adam Sandler makes me want to stab things. It's the only film I've ever walked out of, and I've sat through some absolute stinkers. Phenomenon, that was memorably bad too, we only went in because we thought it was funny to sing the title to the tune of this...

Out of interest, had you read the book? i.e Did you think it was a poor portrayal of the story, or was the film just not what you imagined the story might be?
Not the worst, but felt 127 hrs was massively overrated
"Be kind, rewind"
'Nuff said.
Not read the book TBH, but was expecting so much more after all the hype....mind you I thought the same about Inception too.
Maybe it would be better 2nd or 3rd time around ??
Just CBA watching it again.
Couldn't understand why so many people raved about Kill Bill when it came out. Just seemed massively self-indulgent pap.

2. Con-airI'm quite pleased that a lot of people rave about these 2 utterly crap films.
Con Air is amazing.
Hobo With a Shotgun......
This film is amazing and shouldn't belong in such a thread!
As for crap films I'd say the Transformers series are pretty terrible. Avatar has a place here as well.
Boogie Nights. I went with my wife and another couple of friends. Half-way through I was ready for walking out but couldn't as the other three looked engrossed. It was only over the post-film pint that we all realised we had been thinking the same. Complete, total, utter tosh.
The Producers. Fortunately, I rented this on DVD. We watched half of it, switched it off and took it back to the DVD rental shop before they closed. They gave me a refund.
Amelia Erhard, with Richard Gere and Hilary Swank. You would have thought between them, that any badly scripted and directed tripe would be tolerable. It wasn't.
Maybe it would be better 2nd or 3rd time around ??
Whilst I'm on a role...
The American, George Clooney at his dullest (yea I should know better).
Dire.
PS , Ive seen quite a lot of really dull films over the last 6 months as I got "free" hire at Blockbuster with some House Ins I took.
Believe it or not, one of the most enjoyable ?
Rise of Planet of the Apes.
Maybe not an oscar winner but a No brainer decent film. IMO obviously.
