Have any Middleburn x type crank users out there noticed their pedal spindle is not parallel to the bottom bracket axle?
My first ride with mine felt odd so I measured the alignment of the pedal spindle and found it was 2 degrees out from the bb axle. The replacement set are better but still over 1 degree out which can be felt when pedaling. I have two sets of rs7 isis cranks which are both well under 1 degree out and a set of Raceface evolves which are almost perfect.
How much misalignment would you consider acceptable?

BB spindle bore and pedal axle bore should be parallel such that the tolerance wouldn’t be measurable without specialized machinists instruments.

I’d think that misalignment is much more likely due to a bent BB spindle, a bent crank arm, or a bent pedal axle.

I’m intrigued as to how you’ve measured this offset. It’s something I’ve never checked. Sorry for not being able to help you though.

Measured using a spirit level, ruler and a bit of trig.
I had always assumed that my middleburn cranks were top quality, now I’m not so sure.

    Thoughts anyone
Should I just get some shimano instead?
