    Hi all,

Anyone have any experience with Crankbros 5050 x?xx? pedals? I’ve got some 3 year old ones that have just started to seize up on one side. It’s bloody annoying trying to pedal when your foot keeps getting flicked off!

Anyway, I re-greased them the other week and they seemed fine again the next time I rode but the following occasion they were starting to seize again. Whilst I was inserting grease the seals at the crank end seemed to pop out a bit as well.

The rebuild kit on CRC only mentions use if there is lateral/axial play so not sure if fitting one will solve. Anyone experienced similar? Do you reckon rebuild kit is worth it or time for new pedals?

did you take them apart to grease them or just pump it in from one end?

I’d recommend a disasemmbly and inspection you can pop the seals off the bearings, clean them out and reseal them, that way.
