Anyone has some experience with craft petrol made baselayers? The SO is looking for one, but we'd like to have an idea wether or not they are good.
Cheers

Which baselayer in particular? Local bike shop to me - Flying Fox Bikes - had a Christmas offer on for the t-shirt baselayers at a tenner each for the male tops and £8.50 for the female tops. I bought a couple and they are very good indeed. Suspect long sleeved versions would be even better.
Don't think they are doing the tops at that low a price but suspect it isn't much more than that. If that is what you are after, give them a shout, I think they have quite a few of them (or they did have when I was in before Christmas (23rd Dec)).

hi dick thanks a lot but we're in the south of France so we'll buy them in France. But it's kind of you to offer.

The mrs loves them, I've not tried them.

Its a very good piece of kit.Posted 4 months ago # -
I've bought quite a bit of Craft gear: baselayers, shorts, jerseys - all have been top quality and their size guide is spot on

Ah ok, probably not that great a deal if not in the UK as the postage would be a bit high! Hope you find them close by and at a good price...it does seem very good kit.

I have found all craft stuff to be excellent and quite good value

I have a long sleeve base and it is lovely. Great cut and endless washes have not spoiled it.

I've got a couple of the windproof ones and love them.

Best baselayers I've used, replaced all my merino stuff with them a couple of winters ago to as they're much nicer (I find merino slightly itchy).
The mid-weight baselayer with the windproof panel is genius, no need to take a gilet out on rides with a chilly start etc.
The winter thermal baselayers are great to, think I have 3 or 4 of them. Only one I'm not too impressed with is the zipped high-neck one but that's mostly because I find it chafes a bit when done up so usually have it open at the top (at which point there's no point having it)Posted 4 months ago # -
Best base layers on the planet, particularly on a weight/performance basis. I've got long sleeve, short sleeve summer & winter base layers, toe covers, winter cap & arm warmers. The winter base layer in particular is freakishly effective despite weighing next to nothing, and packs up small (bikepackers take note!). Only thing I'd say is that their 3d arm warmers really need a windproof on top in coldish weather. The material seems to channel air to the skin, maybe it's intentional (it certainly prevents you from overheating), but whereas that kind of function is great for a base layer, it's not so good for something designed to be exposed to the elements. Overall though, Craft are just about the only clothing company (maybe Gore too) where I'd buy any of their products blind & be pretty confident it'll be top notch.

I have the sub zero one, its super warm, and probably the best bit of winter cycing kit I own. Cant ever imagine being cold with it on, and it breathes suprisingly well, it is very much a 6 degrees and below garment. You cant go wrong with Craft

I have the windstopper l/s baselayer. Very, very good. If I had one complaint I wish the material was a bit more body fitting, like my nike pro stuff, but other than that it is excellent and I am surprised no-one else has come up with the same idea.
...I got mine off Amazon by the way, so might be able to find some stuff on amazon.fr.

I have been building up my Craft stuff over the last few years, couple of base layers summer and winter mitts, leg warmers. All good stuff.
I camped in mine last weekend at around freezing temps in my sleeping bag and was toasty. Get mine from http://www.alwaysriding.co.uk
