Are you sure all cows taste good flashy? Or are you a tad mixed up about what cows make that steak you've just eaten? What with you spending all that time in that there that London and only occasionally spending a weekend pretending you're a country gent, you might not fully understand the concept of say, just how untasty a dairy cow might taste as opposed to Aberdeen Angus beef cattle. Wikipedia's your friend old chap. 😆

Do you Know hoW long a carrot screams for after you've ripped it from the earth, well do ya? Spuds cry for weeks after being dug up. And it takes a hour for a cabbage to die after being take indoors.

I know full well what happens to get meat on my plate, thankyouverymuch. That's one of the reasons why, as far as is possible, I only buy meat from sources I'm happy with. I'd rather not eat a meal with meat than eat bad meat.

Why is it that we call Cow meat Beef and Pig meat Pork but then call Lamb meat Lamb and Chicken meat Chicken etc?

You mean like they call lamb meat mutton? They're all just names derived from different places.

I thought mutton was Sheep? And yes I know a Lamb is a baby Sheep.

"Beef" "pork" etc are all words that mean the product of the meat as opposed to the animal itself. Thes words derive from the Norman French language of the ruling classes, and the words like "cow" "pig" etc are usually derived from the Saxon language of their serfs.

It is this multiple layers of language that gives English such a baffling complexity to foreigners and other aliens.

Have you noticed that when its windy cows graze into the wind? They all face the same way in the field.

I guess as they are high sided the want to reduce the amount of drag.
