    Probably about £30-£50

It really is worth investing some time and getting your own tools an doing it yourself.

I was worried at first, but glad I managed to do it myself. Theres not much I would go to the LBS for now unless I needed a wheel building.

Cost for what, fitting? ETA Ahh, OP makes more sense now.

Depends how good a customer you are. I'd think a hours labour to trim the steerer, fit a sfn, swap out the old forks, fit the new forks and set up the brakes should cover a proper job.

buy from the shop and free fitting, buy from the web and pay to have fitted

or lean the forks against the computer and see if that will fit them 🙂
