i want.
i want.
oh, i'll be back tomorrow to view, as i have no internet at home
why?
do you have a singlespeed with mud tyres?
thats the way forward imo for winter hackery.
my photos are of a very high quality, but i doubt many shops would accept them as currency.
why? shits and giggles. got a SS but its a kona A FS jobbie... also have a 29er with a rohloff which i could run rigid with mud tyres.
but i want a CX too. cos it looks fun
plus i reckon it'd be good for round where i live, not too techy trails and quite a bity of road.
lol @ flatboy
I love sliding around in the mud on my cx great laugh.
Just do it....you know you want to
If I could only have one bike it'd be my CX. Just off out on it now actually!
old and sold

newest addition

as crazy-legs said if i could only have one bike it would be my surly
based on my experience - you will buy a CX bike, never take it off-road and then it will get stolen

Not mine - but nice.
Must get around to taking a better pic.
I love mine. Livened up my commute no end and done wonders for my fitness.
That ^ was the bike that got me into 'cross (and then back into mountain biking). It was reviewed in Cycling Plus in 2004 (?) and I fell in love. Never had enough folding to buy one though
Got this instead:
Joe Nation I know what you mean I couldn't afford on back in 2004 and always wanted one, got the chance of buying this one off on-one earlier in the year. Great bike I love it though it does spend a lot of time on the road. Your Pompino is nice though must be one of the first I've seen with gears.
i do like the spesh tricross bike.think it's about £1100!!!
There's a VERY NICE looking Genesis Vapour just appeared in the classifieds for just shy of £500. Bargin!

Mine's an almost entirely off-road machine, apart from tarmac to and from the trails.
think i need a cx bike! might have to build one, but what to base it on hmmm
i do like the spesh tricross bike.think it's about £1100!!!
Mine is the cheap one (£750 I think) 'cause it needed to be under £1K for the bike-to-work scheme.
mrstru, is this Poole?
Mr Flash, what's going on with that saddle? Are you time trialling on that bike or what? or are you just lessening pressure on a LOT of tackle?! LOL
Off-road touring with a massively overloaded trailer!
gah. you're not helping guys
t'is a good job i've not yet got the money... only a matter of time i guess.
if i'm 6 foot, what size would i theoretically need?
Mine, used on and off road.
Thanx Max
6 foot - probably something like a 56, maybe a 58 or 54

(60cm Dolan, I'm 6'5")
I'm 5' 10" (although I have VERY long arms) and I ride a 56cm Genesis Vapour.
It's on the larger side for me but it makes it very stable. I ride a 55cm road bike.
ok, so a 56cm would be about right?
