Quick question on behalf of father who has a CD with a VOB file on that no longer seems to play on his new Windows8 laptop.

Having attempted himself but only succeeded in downloading a ton a malware, is there anyway of doing this?

Simply changing the file extension to AVI drops to file size down by 90% and only seems to play to sound.

    Thanks.

    Edit: wrong forum, sorry

Think there’s a program called handbrake that does this.

Many thanks, that seems to have done it.

Once again I’m indebted to the forum knowledge.
