    Hi all,
    Ive been thinking about converting to a 1 x 10 setup.

    What do I need to do. can I just use my X9 crank take the outer and inner rings off. fit a chain guide and away I go?

    what about a shorter rear mech cage does that make a big difference or not?

    Shorter rear mech, an unramped chainring, and a chain device are all highly recommended if you don’t want to drop your chain every 2 minutes on every ride.
