    got a cheap little video recorder and it saves files in MOV, its all new to me, came to load to windows movie maker and found it doesnt support it. can i chance the format or can anyone recomend a video editing software that works with MOV.

    Best to stick VLC player on the laptop, save you hassle converting every video.

    Quicktime or handbrake will convert to mp4 if that helps

    Look for a Windows codec pack which will allow the OS to deal with .mov files. I think you should be able to then use them in MM.
