I fancy upgrading the old rat to stiffer disc wheels. My road kit knowledge is weak.

I think it’s a 130mm rear frame, 135 mm hub wheels fit ok?
got a suggestion? I was looking at SS components sets.
What’s the widest commuter tyres I could fit?

Are they 130 or is it the roadrat that is 132.5 so you can use either 130 or 135 hubs? Bet you could get some 42c tyres in for more cushioning.

I’ve had a 36c with knobbles in my road rat with the hub positioned fully forward in the drop outs and there is a small amount of clearance with the seat tube, so sliding the hub further rearward you should be able to fit a 42 in there.
