    Not a cheap tyre but sidewall cut easily.it wasn’t a clean straight through slice but a scrape with a small ‘flap’ of rubber not quite off.Not a hole in the tyre but I could see the threading and it leaked air quickly. anyway not worth the extra cash,back to maxxis.

    Basically, if there’s a supersonic version of a conti, it means the standard one’s too slow. If there’s a protection version, it means the standard one cuts if you use a sharp tone of voice near it.

    Unless you know exactly what cut the tyre and then tested it on other brands, that’s just bad luck.

    I cut my 2 week old Maxxis Exo open. So yeah I landed a jump on an exposed waratah, but no, Maxxis must be crap.

    Never had a problem with my Rubber Queens to be honest. Regularly ridden in Peaks, North Wales and the like without ever puncturing. My Schwalbe on the other hand… 😐
