A number of surveyors seem to have decided this is now an issue! I’ve had half a dozen or so letters addressed to “The Occupier” offering a no-win no-fee claim against SSE on my behalf and they are dangling figures of circa £5k… In the past you agreed a wayleave for poles etc with the Electricity Co & received a nominal rent. Anyone any experience of dealing with these folk and any tales to tell? I’ve got 3 x 11kv and 1x 240v lines and a pole stay (the pole is next door)

If you are bothered call up SSE and ask them. They might be happy to sort it out if there is a standard agreement without any messing around. Especially if there is a risk you say “oi, get these off my land”
