Sorry guys, I know it’s been done a million times but I’ve not commuted for 5+ years. I use to swear by Marathon Plus tyres for reliability with decent grip at steady speeds, is this still the case or has something else been released that’s better?

I’m currently using dmr moto RTs which are ok but have been recommended halo twin rails for commuting.

I’ve recently joined the Marathon fanbois following advice from here.

So far am very happy with my Marathon Greenguards for £22 from CRC.

If you are exclusively on the road, and so don’t need the ‘tread’ of the Marathon, then I have found that Durano Plus is just about as bombproof and rolls a lot better.
