Do they make shoes without mesh?
Will be running on pavements.

Not that I can think of. And I can never recall having cold feet even when running well into minus figures.

Yeah, I can’t remember any occasion when I’ve had cold feet when running; even after a soaking in a puddle. You could try some Goretex ones, which will be waterproof and less breathable, but you may end up with sweaty feet.

I know they do off road gore-tex running shoes as i’ve got some off road ones from Salomon not sure about road running shoes.

I don’t suffer with cold feet either, glad of the mesh to let them breath TBH.
Once body temps up after about 10mins all’s fine and toasty.

Are you experiencing particular issues ?

Fair point on the Gore-Tex off road shoes, I’ve had a pair of them, they were certainly warmer, arguably too warm for me. Not sure how long the off road tread would last on the roads though, not very would be my guess.

There is a Goretex version of Asics Cumulus road shoes, not tried them myself.

Also socks make a big difference. I like Endura Thermolite socks for cold weather. Or neoprene socks if really cold/wet. I was wearing them for running in the snow today.

Maybe worth going for a bigger shoe size, to allow for thicker socks.

What do you mean by cold? I’m going up to the Finnish arctic in February to run an ultra – it was -27C last year – Taking a pair of Scarpa Neutron G which is an offroad shoe with a built-in waterproof gaiter. General rule is to size-up and wear thick socks, Ie 2 pairs. I used to get bad blisters due to them moving in the shoes – Injinji toe socks were the answer. I also like Hoka One One for the cushioning which for me helps reduce injury. If you don’t know what size of shoe, style of runner you are then worth visiting a specialist running shop rather than popping into Sports Direct.

Just wear socks with a wool content, Inov8, Hilly & More Mile all make some for reasonable prices.

Asics do Goretex road shoes – ive been using them for years. The model changes seemingly each year, but this year its the GT1000 GTX series.

Woolly socks if your really need to.

I wear woolly socks especially off road when running in water/mud close to zero

Nike did a Pegasus 32 flash reflective with gore.
It’s windproof, warm and decently water resistant.

I’ve got a pair of Asics gore tex road shoes. Great for running in the rain and I don’t find them any sweatier than my open weave shoes.
