    Hi Guys,

I’m trying to organise a long weekend of long trails for the end of March.

I’ve been to the Afan Valley a few times now so want to try something new, and i’ve heard good things about Coed y Brenin in Wales.

I’m trying to organise for about 8-10 people to go and was wondering if anyone knows about accommodation round there?

Ideally something close to the trails / trailcentre / bike shop.

Also, ideally near a pub / shop, but that isn’t so essential

Anyone done anything similar, got any advice?

    Cheers

    Wilf

    Caegwyn farm is fantastic.

Choice of accomodation from camping, b & b and bunkhouse barn type thing.

Its 5-10 minutes cycle from the trail centre and has bike storage, cleaning, dry room etc…

If you ask nicely, the owner might run you to the pub in the nearby village too (would only be a few quid in a taxi if not).

I’d highly recommend it as had a cracking time there in October.

yep, Cae Gwyn is the campsite I mentioned in the other thread. It’s awesome, forgot it had proper accommodation as well. Very helpful and bike friendly.

    +1 for Cae Gwyn.

Just come back from another trip there.
The camping barn should be ideal for you & cheap too at £11 each per night.
The nearby Rhiw Goch Inn was pretty lively on the Sat night too, which was a pleasant suprise.

There is also a hostel in Trawsfynydd which I’ve stayed at but that place is like a ghost town.

    Wow,

A lot of positive advice. Sounds like we’re going to have a good time!

Farms look interesting, all i need now is confirmation of numbers!

    Thanks everyone!

I recently arranged a weekend in Betws-y-coed which was great
2 decent trails in Penmachno and Marin Trail

There are quite a few decent places to stay – we stayed at the Courthouse B&B.

    Another option.
