Bought some cobnuts in morrisons today, never seen them before. Going to try them roasted tonight. What else can I do with them? Is there a way to store them to make them last longer?

the tradition is to lightly roast them then put them on a hard surface pointy end up and crack them with a stone (or whatever) you can eat them raw but apparently small children have difficulty digesting the proteins unless they are lightly cooked first.

Stuff storing them. They're fantastic!! Cracked them all open, put them in the microwave for about 8mins. Great time for British produce at the moment.

Based on the devris around what is usually MY corner of the sofa, just crack them open and enjoy.
Father in law appears to have gone through about ten kilos in the last three evenings, without the active intervention of a hoover.....

Yup, just crack open and scoff. No need to do anything to them. No need to buy them either, the hedgerows are loaded with the little blighters this year. The free ones taste much better, any fule kno

Why would you lightly cook a small child?

I wish I had hedgerows locally. Some wild produce though, blackberries, sloes, rosehips, crabapples, but that's about it. Good trails though.
