    So, stupid question time.
Do you turn the clutch off at all or just leave it on?
I assume you need it turned off to get the wheel out but besides that???????
    Cheers

Yep, just turn it off when taking the wheel out..( I do turn mine off if I’m not going to be using the bike for a while so that it’s not tensioned up all the time)

You only need to turn it off to get the wheel in and out.

Thanks. Saves me having to think which is good. Thats the reason I got rid of suspension as well as it was always locked out at the bottom of the hill after the descent :Oo

On another note… does it matter at all what gear the bike is in when you do engage it after re-installing the wheel? Or does that make no difference?

no, I like the idea shimano rattled round and worked out an on/off switch was the best idea. SRAM popped a press in pin in there that holds it out of place to take the wheel of, always on not forgotten.
