  • Clutch mech broken inside. Are spares available?

The clutch wasn’t doing anything when on so took the cover off and it’s pretty obvious what is wrong.

Now if the part is available it’s an easy fix. Seems crazy the mech is useless just for such a small part failure.

The bit that has broke is a small metal clip/band that hold the tension screw. Does anyone know if these can be sourced from anywhere. They must only cost a few pence.

For reference it’s the bit that has the nut threaded in it (circled in red) on one of the photos in the link below.

I smashed 4 mech cages last year and am a hoarder.
Drop me a mail and I can probably dig out the bit you need and post it.
Only issue is I’m away with work this week so if you need a quick fix, try a shop.

That last sentence of mine re reads a bit blunt, sorry.
Please do drop me a mail, I’m not looking for anything in return.

I also have a few dead but with working clutch mechs so can send you the bits if you want/need them sooner than gravity-slave can post them, email in profile if necessary.
