Anyone know which clipless mtb pedals have the least float in them? Methinks from my roadie upbringing I just prefer a solid foot position rather than a floaty feel….??

shimano M424's feel pretty solid, never noticed any float.

I'd be careful with that one. I've had a week now off bikes since getting tendonitis in my achilles form over doing it on my road bike. I'm not saying the lack of float was to blame but I wonder if it contributed; not sure a lack of float is a great idea on a mountain bike. I use Egg-beaters on the mountain bike and really ike them; no faff, loads of security, plenty of float.

Time – you can adjust the degree of float by swapping L & R cleats 🙂

Buy the float ones if your feet don't move around you wont notice if they do you obviously need it and wont knacker your knees up
