I’ve got some XT brakes which started off sharp and “working”, but a few years down the line they’re a bit sticky and squishy!

I’ve bled them several times (normal, reverse with syringe etc) and it hasn’t made much difference… There’s a small amount of crud in the reservoir end (like fine metal grit?) which I’ve tried sucking out with a syringe, but I’d like to give the ‘pipes a good flushing’ really!

What should I use, and how should I do it? (i.e. which end to flush from…)

Then, hopefully, I can bleed them again and they’ll work!

    Cheers,

I’d only use clean brake fluid to flush a system through.

Fine, so I need more fluid and simply flush the crud out!
Think I’ll get some new stuff, as mine is probably a few years old!
