The Hamlet (IIRC – or was it Heineken???) advert with the Aborigine throwing boomerangs – it was the first time I had seen an advert split over multiple slots in an ad break. Each part showed him throwing the boomerangs (and not coming back) and the final slot showed them all coming back at once and pummelling him.

It was really clever as the viewer had no idea what was going on after the first two slots – just this random bloke throwing boomerangs with absolutely no branding visible.
