I’ve got two Chvrches albums and I think they both have some good tracks and some weaker tracks. On the other hand, while people are recommending other songs they like, I received my copy of Soulwax – ‘From Deewee’ today and it’s bloody awesome.
I’ve only really seen the Chvrches NPR tiny desk concert and thought that was pretty good:
She’s succumbed to the affliction of singing with an American accent.
Ahm oot!
Besides, two blokes on keyboards and a bird was done years ago, and better.

I’ve the first album and its decent pop, but nothing ground breaking. As said above the likes of St Etienne (and I’d add Stereolab), got there 20 years ago.
Oh and the Chvrches cover song the did for the Radio1 Live Lounge was one of the worst things I’ve ever heard, utter, utter dreadful.
You were doing ok whilst you were criticising the music, but there’s really no need to carry on and insult us as well. On a roll were you?
No offence intended! It’s easy to get hot and bothered online but I wouldn’t recommend it. I probably shouldn’t have commented at all, but I do feel that this kind of saccharine BS is worth a few seconds of keyboard time.
