Following on from the earlier thread on far eastern 29er frames I was just wondering if anyone has gone down a similar route to get a disc brakes CX/road bike together on the cheap yet?

Its something I quite fancy building up, canibalising as much of my old road bike as possible but I also don’t want to spend a fortune on the exercise so Chinese Carbon would seem the way to go…

Can’t find much at present on Flea-bay I’d have thought there would be more about by now, or am I looking in the wrong places?

Yeah thats sort of thing, but ideally without Canti mounts, seems a bit surplus if you are buying the thing specifically to use with disc brakes IMO.

I mean it’s probably more bother to build the frame with both sets of brake mounts so disc only should be even cheaper… Right?
