Does this track around Wedder Hill ever dry out, or is it a perma-bog?

What about the one over Yearning Law?

Basically, I love the ’Pennine Shore’ along the border ridge, and usually come down from it via this, but I’ve never found a decent way up at the other end.

    Any ideas?

Yeah they so dry out they were pretty good a few weeks ago.

That’s loads of way up for a quick way use this at Ward Law the question is though where you starting from?

    Cheers Drac,

I’m not a massive fan of Ward Law as a climb as it seems a massive grassy drag every time I use it! I tend to start near the cafe, go up the road through the perma-bog (hence my question – I’ve not found a dry way up and wondered if it ever dried out!), along the ridge and then back down. I think the ridge probably works better the other way, except there’s always a massive headwind every time I’m up there!

No you’re doing the ridge the right way, there is no great way to get up there they’re all involve a drag. As it’s peat bog moors it’s wet more than it’s dry. Any descent is good though pretty much spoilt once on the ridge for descending.

I’ll make sure I’ve got my waterproof socks on next time then!
