    Renewal notice Membership Cost: £198.50
    Membership "savings" £60.66
    Amount payable £137.84

    Online price for punter off the street: £107.63

    Phone to renew at the non-member rate: "Well you have been with us a while, so OK, just this once".

    Cheeky bastards.

    Annual renewals for anything – always check new member price online first!

    If you want to get really angry -look at the tesco clubcard deals. We use about £50 of clubcard vouchers (from using a tesco credit card) to buy joint RAC roadside/recovery membership – its a bit more if you need european cover.

    I paid £8 for mine too!

    Also, I had the cashback paid into my paypal account so I could spend the savings on bike bits 😆

    My stiff upper lip says that £8 is for the very basic cover only. We get joint, personal, home and relay cover.

    I get breakdown level 4, hire care, homestart, EU cover etc etc, thrown in with my car insurance for nowt extra.

    "nowt extra" somehow I doubt that ! It will added into the price of the car insurance somewhere. These companies make money they aren't the local council.
