Ive heard a few things here and there about making sure your chainline is correct, what is correct and how do i measure it, just ordered new mech, cassette, shifter, chain, and a different chainguide and i would like to put it all together right.
Im not sure if what ive been doing all these years up to now is right or wrong, i always get my chain rubbing slightly on the inside of the guide when im in my biggest cog (the 36 tooth) and there is always space to the outside of my chainring when im in my smallest cog (the 11tooth), running 1×10 btw, the rubbing i get on the long climbs just irritates me id love it all to be completely silent if possible 😆

Correct is middle of the cassette lining up with middle chainring.

However, I don’t think a small offset in chain line matters at all. Some people obsess about it…

What if your running 2×10? Not a sarcastic question, I’m in the process of building a 2×10! 🙂
