    Hi all,

    I have a friend who *really* needs to spend a weekend mountain biking but because of impending offspring he feels he needs to be close(ish) to home. For that reason, I'm trying to organise something in the south of England. I'd like to consider a coast to coast across the SouthWest – Dorset, Somerset, Devon or even Cornwall. Can anyone offer any suggestions for a mostly off-road route, around 80-100km? We'll probably be doing it the weekend of 17th-18th July (possibly with Friday and Monday added on). Haven't decided yet whether it will be bivvying or stopping in a pub…

    Any suggestions at all much appreciated.
