Had to bleed my Avid Juicy 3.5s for the first time today. I already had one of these kits from Quad, so I didn't fancy shelling out for the over-priced Avid kit.

The Quad kit comes with a pair of M5 adaptors, which ought to fit the Avids. Unfortunately, as others have found when trying to use non-Avid bleed kits, the bleed ports on the 3.5s are recessed, and the Quad adaptors are too wide to fit into the recess and won't seal properly. Fortunately, this is nothing that can't be sorted with a bit of power-assisted bodging – sticking the adaptor in the end of a drill and running the shoulder against the edge of a file for a minute or two.

The end result fits and seals perfectly, my brakes are now bled, and I get to go cycling tomorrow 😀

Judging by the warning on the page above, it looks like this a problem for Juicy 3s and 4s too. The Quad kit doesn't include fluid or a pad spacer, but is still much better value than the Avid kit.
