Looking at the following cheap forks-

    Manitou circus
    Society xeno
    Society 4XR
    Marzocchi DJ2
    2nd hand reba

They’re going on a charge blender, going to be used for everything from BMX track and 4X through to tame xc (trail riding). So need to be strong and stiff but also somewhat responsive to bumps.

    What does everyone recommend?

    Not the marzocchi’s

Pikes, Argyles, Reba’s depending how heavy/hard you are on your bike.

Society Xenos are massively stiff and strong. Also pretty cheap, but aren’t that light or small bump sensitive even if run soft. Having said that, I ran them on an all-rounder HT happily for two years or so.

Flying Fox Bikes have some rather fine looking Magura forks in 100mm…I think they were rather cheap, double bridge affairs and look very sexy…I think (can’t recall the model, sorry) that they can be set to 100 or 120mm.

Give them a shout and see if they are any use to you…
