  • Cheap printer for documents – inkjet or laser??

Looking for a cheap printer. The lowest prices are on inkjets, but I’m sick of paying through the nose for ink cartridges, so I’m thinking that a cheap colour laser might actually be a better buy for simple documents. Any recommendations?

I went for colour laser – the cost per page was lower using branded toner, and cheaper still using third party ones!

Doing a LOT of printing at the moment, so the increased cost of the printer should be offset pretty quickly through lower printing costs, but if you are printing not so much then I would probably stick with a cheaper inkjet.

PC world do own-brand cartridges for ink jet which are not far off 50% cheaper than the branded (Canon in my case) ones. Still nor cheap though.
