I did have an old Aldi jacket for this, but binned it by mistake.

For walking and scrambling as well as cycling, so needs to be cheapish as it’ll be dragged over lots of pointy things.
Not too fitted, for the same reasons.

DHB do one for £20ish, as do Decathlon.
Anything better for similar cash, maybe a bit more?

never seen that alpkit jacket until today, but looks good with a couple of extra features for the money. At this price bracket your really spoilt for choice especially if you don’t mind the fit. I managed to pick up a madison http://www.madison.co.uk/products/cycling/clothing-eyewear/jackets-gilets/pac-it-men-s-showerproof-jacket-green-flash-small/ for about £20. the underam vents, packs into it’s own pocket and soft collar feature stand out for me.

    Alpkit one would be good

I’d also recommend anything from Montane and the Howies version. My Dyfi has lasted well, including a crash
