The steerer on my commuter is too short. I need some 26 straight steerer forks.
Anyone had any experience of these….?
Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112406824591

Commuter? Get some carbon forks (or aluminium – my wife has these on her town bike) from carboncycles.cc.

It’s a full suspension bike I don’t think I we can handle another niche!

Looks like they use Manitou dampers, so the damping should be good or at least easily tuneable. The dial at the top of the righthand stanchion labelled “ABS” is either a Manitou unit or a copy of it. The lowers do not look Manitou or copied Manitou parts as they are not a reverse arch design.

Hmmm… A hundred quid for a completely unknown quality pair of forks.

    I’ll pass.

I’m not too worried about performance, the competition is a pair of 10 year old marzocchis that have never had an oil change.
As long as they don’t snap in half I would be happy.

Just spoke to windwave and they still swap steerers on marzocchis forks so will go down that option.

Have just bought these posted for £72.
Basic but cheaper than getting a steerer fitted .
