  • Charge Cooker Midi or Boardman CX? An impossible question?

I know that the answer is going to be impossible to answer, but I’m just afetr some thoughts please?
Having two small children, time is obviously precious but I’m looking to get the most out of my cycling
My thoughts have moved on to doing shortish summer rides after they’ve gone to bed, but I won’t have time for full blown rides on the full sus. So thoughts have moved on to whether a CX bike would be what I’m looking for? I could link up some nice quiet “C” roads with some fire roads and bridleways.
However, would something like a Charge Cooker Midi with the 27.5 plus tyres and rigid forks be a better option? If I bought another set of 29er wheels and put some roadie tyres on, I could use it for the 20 mile road sessions, then put the plus tyres back on if I was going to, say, Nant Yr Arian at the weekend?
What do you think is the best option? Only one bike allowed I’m afraid
    Many thanks

Charge with a set of schwalbe big one tyres would be a good choice.
