    I need a shock for a Santa Cruz Bullit (standard is 215 x 63mm (8.5" x 2.5")which gives 180mm travel)

I was contemplating reducing the travel and I was wondering what effect it would have if I put a 190 x 50 shock on there. It will reduce the travel but will it bollox up the geometry.

    Cheers

    7" travel?

It will now have 5.5" and sit 2.8" lower at the back so around 2" lower bb and 2-3 degree slacker head angle.

May also find the swingarm fouls something.

Thanks for doing the maths c-al

I think the answer is a resounding no.

I was going to get a CCDB for my 5 Spot and use the Fox off that for the Bullit but I'll have to get one the right length and stroke so the CCDB for the 5 spot will have to wait

When your shock compresses a bit it nowt. You might have a problem when you fully compress the shock though.
