  • Changing MoCo damper in Rock Shox Recons

    Afternoon.

I have a pair of Recons nut the damper is seized so I bought a new one. To change it do I need to strip them down (lowers off etc.) or can I just take the damper out from the top?

Would rather avoid taking the lowers off as the oil is fresh and clean (that is when I found the damper was seized)

    Advice appreciated.

All done through the top…no need to remove lowers. Other than the usual general tools, you’ll need some 5wt fork oil and a 24mm socket.
