    I am
presently paying a whole load of dosh each month for BT broadband an realise that I could save by changing to someone else.
Problem is that I would like to keep the same email accounts… I have it in my head that there is a way of keeping *****@btinternet.com even when I move to another provider…

Anyone know if this is true and if it is how?

    Many thanks

I can’t speak for BT, but it will all depend on whether they keep your email account open. I suspect most providers will keep it open for a while, but not indefinitely.

So long as BT keep it open, you should be able to use it when connected through another provider using the same POP server settings (although some ISPs don’t allow you to send mail through their SMTP servers if you are not connected to the internet through them).

You might be able to pay them a retainer / month to keep it. Personally, I’d get a non-ISP-specific address and then you don’t have this problem in future.
